Bio
Alana is an Irish figurative artist at Queen Street Studios in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her paintings explore themes of childhood, family connections, and identity.
Sourcing inspiration from found and familial objects, she blends figurative and abstract elements to bring these themes to life. Through delicate gestures and expressions, her paintings create atmospheres reminiscent of half-remembered dreams - spaces where memory and reality merge.
Her approach to painting captures a delicate balance between clarity and mystery. Earth tones blend with sparks of colour, creating depth and vibrancy replicating cinematic worlds.
Alana’s work incorporates familiar motifs and symbols. Drawing from the harmony in traditional paintings, to create balance and connection. Imagination and memory intertwine in her artwork, offering a space to linger and reflect on the beauty and complexity of human connection.
